Schools through their Safe Positive School Communities are invited to apply for funding for projects which meet the following criteria:

1. The project should assist the implementation and/or maintenance of the social skills curricula supported by the Safe Positive Schools Committee; that is, Peaceworks, SecondStep, Lions Quest, peer mediation and student conferences, and high schools student leadership projects. Other appropriate projects will be considered. Preference will be given to projects which have a school wide focus and encourage parental involvement, social skills development and alignment with Gospel Values.
   
   Those schools receiving an award are expected to provide an outcomes report to the Committee Chair regarding your initiative by June 1st of the school year in which you received the award. Provide indicators to support your intended outcomes/goals. We encourage you to use the online feedback form available on the Safe, Positive Schools link. This will assist us with our work in supporting schools in the future.
   
   
2. The project is designed to purchase student materials, teacher resources and/or support staff and parental inservice. The Safe Positive Schools Committee will not fund conference attendance for staff. Support can be provided on related topics like positive discipline, anti-bullying, character education, student leadership programs, parental programs or programs which meet unique needs.

Our committee considers applications at each monthly meeting. The annual maximum available to any school is $1000.00.
