We're celebrating our 100th anniversary!
On Sept. 5, 1911 three teachers and 69 students began a new school year together in the basement of St. Paul's Church. This marked the beginning of a newly formed Catholic school division in Saskatoon. Events commemorating the centennial are taking place from August 2011 through to June 2012. We are celebrating a century of faith and learning!
School Anniversary CelebrationsDATE: FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 9, 2011 Our official anniversary falls on Labour Day, Sept. 5 - when students are not in school - so we celebrated on Friday, September 9. Schools marked the day with special anniversary liturgies to commemorate the occasion and each received a green ash sapling to plant on school grounds. The trees were planted using a mixture of soil that includes a bit of dirt taken from each school on World Catholic Education Day in May.
